Complaint Review: Imortgage

My wife & I have been looking for a house on Zillow.com for a few months & the site suggested we talk to a loan office to get pre-qualified. We submitted our information and soon enough Mr. Curtis Perry from IMortgage called us to discuss the process.

We gave him all the necessary information and within a few days we had a pre-qualification letter for $300,000 and we started to talk to a real estate agent. We found the house & started the process of getting the mortgage. The numbers from IMortgage were good & we believed the house was affordable. We paid the Due Diligence money ($1,500), the Ernest money (1,000) and paid for inspection ($495). I also was told to pay my taxes in full ($10,000) instead of monthly installment.

We had the closing date set for July 12^th and everything seemed to be working fine.

Just two days before the closing, Mr. Perry called me and stated something is wrong with the number. He made a mistake & did not calculate the HOA fees correctly and so we cannot close on the house. That was a decision from the underwriters and there was nothing he can do about it.

I called his supervisor; Mr. David Snider to complain who promised to find a solution and will call me back be he never did. Instead, Mr. Perry called to state he knew I called his supervisor but still, there’s nothing he can do.

My lease on my apartment ends on July 31^st and the apartment management told me that we have to vacate it because it’s already rented. I have a pregnant woman & a 2 year old daughter and I’m not sure what to do or where to go. Our lives are a mess because of their mistake and they’re not even showing any remote compassion for us.
