Sometime in the middle of November, a man from Imperial Consumer Services(ICS) called offering a credit card to me to help repair my credit. I asked questions and he very quickly answered them but not very well. He then transferred me to a lady who said that she was going to record questions and my answers. I was only to say YES. I did that under the assumption that I would be receiving a credit card within a week.

After I received the card I was to go to an ATM machine and take out $258.00 and put it into my bank account and he had set a withdrawal date of Dec. 19. I figured that was fine because I would be getting the card before the money was supposed to come out of the bank.

Then around the second week of December another man called about the same thing. I told him how someone had called me and how I had never received my card. He then proceeded to say that there was some sort of flag on my account but he didn't know why. So, I started asking questions and he was telling me more about how the $258.00 was for a list of credit cards that I would be accepted to. I explained how I was looking to get the card before Christmas but he told me that the only way to do that was to pay the money first and then they would send the list to me.

Since I didn't want to spend $258 on a list I told him I did not want them to take the money from the account. He then tried to coherse me into doing it anyways. I explained to him over and over again that I only wanted it for Christmas and since I did not have the money at the time and would not get the card before Christmas I did not want it. Finally, after about 10 minutes of arguing with him over it he finally asked if I would like for him to cancel the withdrawal date and I told him to cancel everything. I did not and would not want to spend that money for a list of credit cards. He told me that he cancelled it but did not have a cancellation number or confirmation.

On December 26, 2002 I called my automated bank line to check on my account and found out that on December 20, 2002 the Imperial Consumer Services(ICS) withdrew the $258 from my account anyways.
I cannot get ahold of anyone to do anything about it, so obviously I am very upset.

Hopefully with enough reports something can and will be done to this company to rectify all the money they have ripped-off from people.
