On January 30 of this year, I answered a telephone poll which promised a free two-night cruise if I cooperated. The poll was short, the questions seemed totally unrelated, but a spokesperson came on afterward and told me to contact a website (which I now cannot remember, and I was not using this computer so that I can go back and trace it).

I did so, filled out the questionnaire, and was told to call a certain phone number to verify the arrangements for the cruise. I did that, then was told that for $498.00 I could add a five-day all-expenses paid vacastion in Orlando and a voucher toward air fare.

When I answered that we would probably drive, I was told that the voucher would apply toward the purchase of gas during our stay. We were also told that we could add an extra person for just $99. (By the way, when I questioned the salesperson extensively, she finally admitted that we would be required to tour a time-share facility.)

Thinking that this would be a good graduation present for our granddaughter, I gave them my credit card number and was charged $498 right away. I was told that the paperwork would be forwarded to my home within 10 days, and that we would have 18 months to take our trip.

The paperwork never showed up. When I finally tracked down the charge on my credit card last week, it was too late to dispute it. How do I get them to deliver the goods?
