Imperial Majesty Cruise Lines/Ramada/KB PROMOTIONS Former Vacations Salesperson...Won Free Cruise to Bahamas Tampa Florida
First, I'd like to apologize to all the people that I have called telling them that they have won a free 2-day 2-night cruise to the Bahamas. I used to work for a company called KB Promotions in Tampa, who hired me under the pretenses that I would be working for a national cruise line. Come to find out, I was directed to call people, particularly in Canada and California to inform them that they won a free cruise.
What you don't know is that before every shift, we are gruesomely told by the General Manager to "get them credit card numbers, or I will fire your a**!" At first I thought it was a joke until I witnessed many individuals being tapped on the shoulder and being told to leave because they have not produced a single credit card number for the week. If you don't get at least 3 a week, your pay goes from 11.00 hr. to minimum wage.
I will be the first to tell you that it is all a scam, from the people who manage, to those unlike myself, allowed themselves to be brainwashed to take advantage of you out there who work so hard for your money, only to try to take you for all you got.
If anyone calls you telling you that you won a free cruise, just hang up and get your name put under the federal do not call list.
Again, I'm sorry that I worked there and hope you accept my sincere apology. I just couldn't live with myself knowing what was going on.

I work for KB Promtions currently....it's not a gret company to work for and they do take advantage of people that are either unfamiliar with how being self employed works or "hard sell" techniques. Luckly I've been self employed for years so I understand the ins and outs of working for them.
Everything metioned in the script is true, and the "free cruise" is actually designed to sell a promotional vaction package afterword - which honeslty is not a bad deal in it's own right. Although you will have to deal with a time share tour and it's associated bull.
My issue has more to do with how the company is run and the total and complete lack of professionalism in that company.
Frankly I'm surprised thay have not been sued yet by a former employee or have had their operation questioned by the cruise line involved.
