Imperial Majesty Cruise Ramada Plaza Resort - Imperial Majesty Cruise RIPOFF! Trying to get refund Ft. Lauderdale Florida
Normally I hang up on these kinds of calls. But recently I had a lot in mind and I lost track of what I was doing. I just listened on to what they had to say and eventually got hooked onto their call. I agreed to everything and gave my credit card number. When I asked all the friends around me, they told me that it was going to be a scam and told me to call my credit card company. So I did and declared that I had lost my card; however, by that time, the amount was already transferred. Currently I am still trying to call Ramada back and hopefully try to get a refund before 30 days.

dont count on Ramada Resort refund your money through the phone system, they will give you the run around and insult you endlessly. I also got suckered into the scam, but i got my money back, complete refund. I filed complaints through The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, http://www.800helpfla.com/complnt.html. Took around 4 weeks, but i got my full refund.

Something similar happened to me with Ramada Resort, but i got my money back. These are the things i did, hope it will help you too;
1. Called up credit card company, tell them the WHOLE story (be honest) and put a temporary block on the card.
2. Called up Ramada Resort/Imperial Cruise and asked to talk to the sale rep. Told them i wanted to cancel the vacation package (your within 3 days..dont even need to give reason). Dont expect them to give a refund and dont put up with verbal abuse.
3. Filed complaints to The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

4. waited for the vacation package to arrive via mail. Look at pg 9, under refund regulation. Typed up a letter saying you want a full refund. Mailed by registered mail and keep the tracking no.
Within two weeks, the rep. from Ramada Resort called me and supplied me with a refund confirmation no. and apologized for the inconvenient. My account was credited the full amount...almost 3 days ago. hahah....got scammed but got a refund.

Some of these 'complaints' are ridiculous.

"...told me to call my credit card company. So I did and declared that I had lost my card; however"
So an individual who purchased a legitimate product - a vacation - files a fraudulent report with a credit card company because they can't understand the terms and conditions that they agreed to when they volunteered their payment information?
