On 11th August 2004 last I got a phone call from an American Girl asking me to take part in a short survey and that if I did I would be entered into a draw for cruise holiday. I duly answered her short questions and she gave me a reference number in case I won. I actually forgot all about the phone call until tonight at 9.30 the 20th August 2004 when I received another call from an American guy telling me I participated in a survey and I am delighted to let you know that out of over 1000 people who competed in the survey I won the 1 week cruise worth over $3500.00, I did not jump for joy as I really don't believe in this type of luck. I let him waffle on he asked my first name which I gave and then he said is your spouse there. I let him know he wasn't and he quickly said it is their company policy to speak to both of us at this stage. He said he would contact me again at a more convenient time and hung up! To which I just said ok. I didn't get excited on the phone as I really thought this has to be a joke, so that is why I logged onto the internet and wasnt surprised to see this company on a few websites as a scam - BE WARE of AMERICAN PEOPLE ringing wanting you to participate in a survey.
