Imperial Marketing And Research, coordinator Amber Griffin, Kelly Roland, Melonie Howard, Manager This so called "company" tryed to rip me off, but I beat them at their game. Port Jefferson New York
I have been searching the web for a Mystery Shopper job but I couldn't find any sites that didn't want money. That was a big red flag to me there. A week ago, I received a letter in my mailbox and I'm not talking about webmail either. The letter was from this so called "company" offering me a job to become a Mystery Shopper. I thought my wishes had come true.
They offered me $400.00 dollars a week to shop 2 to 8 hours a week or so it was stated in the so called "contract". Attached to the letter was a big check for $3,989.99. I thought my dreams had come true. This was too easy.
The check was supposed to be deposited in my bank and when the check cleared, I was supposed to use it to do my shop with and whatever other assignments I was given from the co-ordinator who I spoke with on the phone many times.
My first assignment was to take back out all the cash out of my account and send a MoneyGram to Kelly Roland in the amount of $3,549.00. Then I was supposed to shop at one of my local stores and spend $100.00 and keep the merchandise. I was so excited about this opportunity but little did I know I was about to be scammed.
When I called my bank Tuesday morning, they told me that the hold was taken off of the check, so I rushed down to the nearest branch ready to do my assignment. When I went into my bank to withdrawal the money, the nice ladies behind the desk informed me that, "The check is fraudulent". My heart just sank and I had never been so humiliated in my life, but I thank the good Lord above that they didn't get my money. If it wasn't for the hold being put on that check, the scammers would have had me. If I had a large amount of money in the bank already, they would have cashed that check the day I took it to the bank, and I would have been taken for thousands of dollars.
Just a little piece of advice, If you're interested in a Mystery Shopper job, be very careful. Watch your p's and q's. If it sounds too good to be true, then it is. Run like he**.
