Imperial Parking Canada Corporation got parking ticket in their WEP Lot 9 downtown Ottawa under restricted sign in large font "FULL SIZE" on the 1st line, "Trucks Van only" on the 2nd line - my BMW 740IL series is Full Size vehicle Vancouver, British Columbia Canada
I got a Parking ticket of $42.61 within 7 days $74.15 after 7 days in their indoor underground parking garage where the sign shows:
"FULL SIZE" in LARGE font - filled out the 1st row of the sign "Trucks Vans only" - all the letters are on the 2nd row I was very happy this garage got a parking spot designated for my Full Size Vehicle My car is a BMW740iL - is categorized as FULL SIZE vehicle with the length 201.7 inches whereas an official Full Size Dodge Ram Van length is 187.2 inches - by 14.5 inches shorter.
At the first sight of the sign - my understanding of the sign is allowing 3 categories of vehicles to park at the spot - namely (1) Full Size car (2) Truck (3) Van - therefore, have no hesitation to park there and accepted that my full size car is legal to park on the spot. Because I did not park a small size or compact car there.
The ticket on 23 Feb 2012 indicated "FULL SIZED TRUCKS / VANS ONLY" - the sign on the wall did not give clear indication of the "Full size" The length of my car is much longer than both of the vans parked side by side of my car. the sign is misleading / unclear / unreasonable The sign should have said "NO CAR but Truck & Van only" Then I will not choose to park at the spot at all.

Sell your vehicle quick and do not buy another. You are too stupid to be behind the wheel of a moving FULL SIZE vehicle. You are trying to twist the true intent of the size that would be obvious too all but the most stupid person. You fail, enjoy your ticket.

If you don't understand that a sign reading "FULL SIZE" then "TRUCK/VAN ONLY" meant you couldnt park your car there, then I worry about your ability to drive.
Why would they bother putting TRUCK/VAN ONLY on the sign if cars could be parked there? What other sort of full size vehicle is there besides Cars, Trucks and vans? It clearly indicates that it is for TRUCKS and VANS ONLY. You deserve the parking ticket.

If, as you reason, the space was for 3 categories of vehicles, then there would have been commas after the words size and trucks (FULL SIZE, Trucks, Vans Only). Since there were no commas, most reasonable individuals would have interpreted that the space was meant for full size trucks and vans only. I'm guessing this space was closer to your destination and you just wanted to save yourself a few extra steps. Just admit it, you parked illegally. Pay your ticket and move on.
