Complaint Review: IMQ

I am a physician in Dallas and also attended two courses from the same seminar company. I have no problem with these guys at all, in fact I am attending other courses with them. I have the same issues with IMQ, the Institute for Medical Quality. Why is IMQ making the attendees accountable for something they had nothing to do with. Like Dr. Cohen has already said, this is flat our FRAUD!! I need these cme for the hospital who obviously requires we have certain cme. They paid for my CME and now want to know where are my CME credits. I cant believe this company, this IMQ, Institute for Medical Quality is holding back on issuing the CME like this? Totally wrong. They should change their name to Institute for Medical Fraud.

I hope these guys are banned from issuing CME to any seminar company because they have no idea what they are doing and could care less! Don’t bother contacting them either, they wont respond. I heard the same story and also understand that this is not the only company they did this too. Last year I attended a seminar from a company in Texas and they were not able to issue the CME because of something that came back to this IMQ, for whatever reason they held back on the CME after I had already paid for the course.

I think they are a pretty small time operation out in California and I doubt they are even regulated by any governing body. They should be reported to the ACCME who is the main organization in charge of monitoring CME Credits.
