IMS ripoff Bakersfield California
The postcard from Lisa Eastwood arrived in the mail today. I googled the 800 number anc came up with this web site. After reading the reports, I called IMS but first I input *67 to block my phone number from showing up on a caller ID.
I heard a greeting and then after a very short wait I was connected to Amanda who told me that the "Good News" was that I had been entered into a drawing for a million dollars(?) which was to be held in February 2007.
She gave me a two question survey: 1) which credit card (MC, VISA, AMEX, or Discover did I find gave me the best service? I answered that I didn't notice any difference among them -- which is true for me, and 2) Which one gave me the better interest rate? I said I wasn't sure but I suspected that they were about the same -- which I assume is close to being true.
Amanda thanked me for taking the survey and wished me good luck and said goodby.
What did I do wrong? I hid my credit card and was ready to do battle with them, but I must have set off some red flag. Any thoughts.
