www.imvupay.com is a website that was selling virtual currencies (IMVU credits) from IMVU developers allowing them to change this virtual monney in real US$. Users was sending credits to their website then other users was buying them. Imvupay was a trading site for virtual monney. In september 2008, a group of chinese hackers bought a lot of virtual credits with fake credit cards and then resell them throught this site and some other ones. The company was ripped off and the owners asked their clients to wait for a payback of the virtual monney they loose. We had to look in Imvu forums for answers and all the posts in the forum was deleted by imvu admins.

Few mouth later in december 2008, imvupay released a version 2 of their site with security enhacements. In this new site there was a queue for users they owe monney. They told us they would pay everybody back with the new version of the site incomes. The 17th june 2009, last news from the owners of imvupay website on imvu groups (somekind of forum where the owner can be his own administrator) :

"The site has been sold, This is my last post. The new owners will be contacting everyone that is owed money shortly to begin repayment.

Check the imvupay site for updates, It is now in control by the new owners.

-Goodbye
Phil & Chad"

Now The 20 May, the site is not accesible anymore... No news from anybody (old or new owners) IMVU.com still deleteting forum posts about this. And they still owe me and a lot of other users real monney from virtual one that has been sold through their site.

"NEWS!! PLEASE READ! We regret to inform our wonderful members that IMVUPay will be shutting down. Things have been extremely hard pressed on our small team to keep this site functioning with little to no budget and we would like to personally apologize to our users for any misunderstandings and/or inadequate service you have received.

We do have some exciting news for you though: IMVUPay has been purchased! We have been told that they will be incorporating our clients to their new website, which is very user-friendly, and all the old accounts will be reconciled. We hope this will help to clear up any issues we may have had in the past. Thank you for all of your loyalty to us, we hope you will show the same level of energy to the new management.

Best Wishes,

Phil + Chad

PS: Please remember to keep checking here for updates."

No updates since 10 May 2009 now the website is not accessible. I heard they owe around 60000$ to 200 IMVU.com users/developers.
