When I opened my computer on 6/21/2016 I had a flashing red notice and a continuous, loud verbal directive to call the technician at the number (800-208-09798, ext.1289) in the notice.  The technician, Vikas Kumar, was was very helpful. He silenced the obnoxious verbal warning.

Mr. Kumar ran a scan of my computer and informed me it had been infected numerous times over the last two years. He outlined a nine (9) step process to clean my computer and keep it clean.  It was not until near the end that he informrd me the cost of coverage would be $299.00 for one year, $399.00 for two years and $499.00 for four years.

Mr. Kumar asked me for a credit card and also the password to me computer to access checks over a period of 2 to 3 years. everyone I talked with was very professional, but talked with heavy accents,  I signed up for the five year plan.  After the fact I called my credit card company and closed my account.

I subscribed to this service a few years ago for $180 for a year.  I utilized their services several times, and they were always able to clean/speed up my computer every time without any problem.  It was worth the money I paid...although the fact that everyone I spoke with was foreign.

I actually would have renewed my membership if they hadn't called me so many times in the last few weeks to renew it.  Their employees are clearly given extreme sales goals to hit.  A few times, I felt like I was being threatened with a run-down, virus-infected laptop if I didn't "act now".

I called to see about renewing it this evening, but they told me it went up to $249.00 (apparently only a few days beforehand, imagine that).  I asked if they would take $200 but was told I would have to get approval from a supervisor and would get a call back to let me know.

Overall, I got my money's worth, despite the communication barrier and sales pressure.  We'll see what happens.
