A slick telemarketer from IncFortune called me to present a fail-proof website business. (I think his name was Bruce Knight but the name Robert Terratie was also mentioned.) I assured him that I was not interested in putting money into an internnet venture but before I realized what he was up to, he had managed to get my credit card number, contact the company and ask them to raise my credit limit by $5,000.

Bruce answered my questions with well rehearsed responses and insisted on holding the line while I signed the contract he had faxed to me. I delayed so he called back in an hour expecting to close the deal.  I discovered that he had left out a few details. By signing, I was obligating myself for $5000 plus a hosting fee.  In case I wanted to cancel within three days, 15% of the $5000 would be refunded.

Shortly Bruce called to see if I had returned the contract.  I told him that I intended to go over it with my husband and reluctantly he agreed to call back in the morning.

I called the credit card company to tell them not to release any funds. The customer representative informed me that the company had already drafted $5000 PLUS another $2500!

Be warned. Don't take a call from Power Care or IncFortune and if you do get one, hang up immeditely!

How Incfortune gets your credit card number to rip off

As strange as it may seem, these sharketers have a knack of gleaning your credit card number/s from you.

They do so in a number of ways. Here are some of them:

1. They say they have a relationship with the credit card companies and can assist you to increase the credit limit.
2. They say they will advance money to your card
3. They pretend to do a credit check, while you are thinking about whether you want to go ahead with their scheme
4. They say they need to check what plan you would qualify for.

There may be other ways, but they are slick, well rehearsed, smooth criminals.

I have a blog called pushtraffic scam and have over 80 people on my list. I have researched this group of companies, all owned by John Raygoza, for a long time. They are racketeers, posing as an internet coaching company.

They trick victims into signing a confidentiality agreement to protect their "trade secrets" but once you sign, you have agreed to their absolutely outrageous terms. eg.

The first time you log in, the contract states that they have fulfilled their obligations.

OR. The contract excludes anything that was promised by a sales person (or anyone else from the company).

Many victims had credit cards maxed out above and beyond the cost the sales sharketer quoted. Often money is taken without authority/permission. This is achieved undetected by going under the radar - charging in multiple small transactions.

There are several names they use: PushTraffic, IncFortune, SuccessRate, Dotintel, JumpLaunch, RecessionProof Millions and probably others.

I would advise anyone who was scammed by this crowd to report it to the Los Angeles Police (Computer Crimes Division).

I'm not saying you weren't ripped off, but the above comment seems a little far fetched.   Was there some form of hypnosis involved?
