Incorp freeregisteredagent.com Outrageous cancellation fees, poor communication Internet
Earlier this year my family was workign on relocating from North Carolina to Maine. At the same time we were in the process of starting up a corporation with a sister non-profit corp. which were supposed to be going live in Maine shortly after the move. Because I wanted everything set with the business before getting there, I signed up with Incorp to handle the filling of my corporate documents and to stand in as our registered agent until we got settled.
Unfortunately, our relocation was delayed so I asked to cancel the two orders for the time being. Now, mind you, All they had done was take the answers I gave on their form and plug them in along with the Registered Agent information. Nothing was signed and no forms were filed. The response I received from my sales rep was:
"Sorry to hear that. Ill submit a refund request for your two orders. At this point we unfortunately cant give you full refunds since we prepared and emailed you the articles. You will get 100% of the state filing fees back but there will be cancellation charges for each order. Well refund the card you used and it will take a few weeks for your refund to be processed."
This told me that I would receive back the state filing fees, but I would lose their fee which I paid for their service of preparing the document. I also assumed I would be receiving back the shipping fee of $18 for each order which was not used since no documents were filed.
I had paid two fees to them( $82 and $187) and was refunded $7 for the first transaction which is a 91.46% fee and $112 for the second transaction which comes to a 40% fee.
When I tried to email both my sales rep and his manager none of my emails would go through. I had to use my gmail account to send a response. Low and behold, any email from my gmail account got through. Just not any thing from the email address I used to set up my account.
I just want to warn everyone out there to beware. This company charges exorbitant fees if you have to cancel and won't be upfront and clear with you regarding the cancellation fees.
