I went to a well respected website called service magic to find a contractor to do a kitchen remodel of my home in Sunrise Florida. I had received quotes from Home depot, and some other place as well.

In March of 2008 I received a phone call from a company in Delray Beach called KITCHENPRO.US. They are listed under Indecor, Inc. I drove up to their showroom and met with them. I liked their prices and they did custom cabinets. I signed a contract and paid them the initial deposit. I started working with the staff monthly for 3 months, picking out what I wanted, and even purchased all new appliances that are still in the warehouse at Brandsmart based on their recommendations.

In 7/08, when I contacted my designer, she informed via e-mail that she was no longer with the company and someone would be contacting me. No one contacted me despite the numerous phone calls I made to the company in July. I finally heard back from the owner at the end of August. He sent out their contractor Home team advantage to look at the kitchen we went over some orders, and I needed some additional electrical work done. They gave me an estimate for the work, and came and demolished my kitchen in 9/08.

Now I have already paid for the cabinets, which were $7, 270.00 and gave an additional $922.00 for some more electrical work which was done by an electrician that they hired. I told them that I needed my kitchen by thanksgiving, and they assured me it would be done by then. Every week after 9/9/08, the contractor kept stringing me along, telling me he would call me on Friday to set up the date for the cabinets, which I have paid for in full in 4/08.

At the beginning of November, I received a call from the owner stating my cabinets were ready for install. Their contractor again kept making promises to contact me. He finally contacted me on 12/3/08 to tell me the company that was supposed to make my cabinets didn't make them, AFTER I had been told by the owner they were ready a month earlier.

I have called the owner several time since 12/08, and even told them I would be contacting the state if I don't here from them by 1/5/09. No response yet. I have send him e-mails, no response. I didn't know about their previous exposure, and I feel the service magic should have checked them out, because I wouldn't have done business with them if they weren't on their website.

isn't there a way to expose these guys for good?
