Complaint Review: Independent Living Aids

Independent Living Aids My mother, who is sight impaired, purchased a Portable Electronic Magnifier for $895. After only 3 days she sent it back because it was too difficult to operate. The company would not return her calls and would not refund her money. When trying to stop the payment from her credit card, the company told the CCard company that her unit was scratched and damaged. Buffalo New York

This company supplies "living aids" to people with Handicap devices.  Their return policy is to not return anything.  You order, you receive and you keep whatever they send you.  After many attempts from my mother, the credit card company and other family members trying to get a refund, the company randomly sent another device to my mother.  She still cannot see the buttons enough to work it.  I feel certain that this device has been returned by most people who ordered it and the company cannot get rid of them.  This is not a good company to do business with.  Especially when most of their items are very costly.
