Thomas Farrell of Independent Office Equipment, along with his team of scammers, David Jimenez (supposed Technician), Rockey Farrell (supposed Sales Manager), have no conscience when dealing with people. They are completely unethical in their dishonest dealing, manipulative sales tactics, and unfair business practice.

We found them on the internet (www.veryaffordablecopiers.com) and about six months ago, purchased a refurbished copier (Canon ImageRunner 2800) for our new business. After some research, we found they charged us above and beyond the market price of $2500 with a price of $4000. The contract stated that toner supply for this machine would cost us no more than $25/ea., and we would have a year of service repairs and maintenance free. We called them frequently after countless empty promises to provide manuals so we could effectively use our printer but to no avail. Three months later, we requested a supply of toners and they came running with the manuals in hand stating the delay was due to difficulty in finding and costly at $50/ea. We then were told that the previously quoted $25/toner was no longer available for purchase since these generic toners are not suitable for Canon copiers and damage the machine. They quoted us $95/toner for original toners and paid them $950 for a case of 10.

When they left running to the bank, we immediately put a stop payment on the check when we discoverd through a Canon authorized dealer that retail prices of toners are $40/ea. We contacted Thomas at the bank trying to cash the check and so he returned it to us at the office. He insisted on matching the quoted price on "original Canon toners". After much discussion, we agreed, out of good faith and measure, to give him the check for $400. Later, we found the toners labled "Canon*" were counterfeit and not originals. When we contacted him, he already cashed the check and admitted they are not authorized Canon dealers and were constantly hung up after many of our calls.

We over paid for the copier and the cost of original toners for generic ones. Overall, these men work together to scheme and deal in the most unreputable way and have no remorse for what they do to others. I highly caution not to do business with these people and company and spread the word. These people need to be out of business!

We are fighting the great fight to stop these people from putting businesses in jeopardy and threatening the livelihood of all mankind!
