Complaint Review: Industry Model And Talent Agency

My husband and I have two children. At the mall we had a young lady come up to ask if our children had done any modeling, we told her no. She gave us the whole " we are currently looking for new talent" bit and took our name and number. I asked if any payment was invloved in casting our kids she said "no, they pay for the pictures if your child is castable."

Our children have expressed wanting to do modeling and acting so when we got a call for a viewing by a DIRECTOR we went. They hounded us making sure we knew when, where, and what to wear. Studio #9 to meet with a director (who was getting ready to cast..). It is suite 9- and the director is a salesperson.

We did not realize until after we left the office that all the doors have the word "director" on them. We bought the pitch which is -they take pictures, sell our kids to agents, casting calls, the whole nine yards. So this morning when I woke up and realized in hindsight how badly we got scammed I called to cancel our CC payment of $1900.00 for our kids.

I called them also to let them know we are not paying and calling the BBB. I will keep posting to follow up until we are done with them.
