Complaint Review: Industry Model & Talent Studios

I was approached in the Monmouth Mall by a young women claiming that my son should model. I wasn't impressed at first, but they were so charming, and convinced me to sign a card. A day later I was invited to an interview which they were more than willing to work around my schedule to meet with my son in person. I made the appointment, I had nothing better to do. Once there, I waited about 1/2 hour, there were so many people coming in and out of that place it was impressive...Once taken upstairs this women complimented me, then made such a big deal over my son, I was hopeful this could be something. After a lengthy talk she pulled out a book explaining the cost for photos, comp cards and headshots. I was shocked with the prices, and that was when she said it would be an "INVESTMENT." She made a deal and changed the price by $200 and gave me a combo headshot and comp card, then said I could make payments. After a month I was paid up, we took our photos they did nothing to his hair, or face, the actual shoot took less than ten minutes. I actually got 60 photos but paid for 48. Some deal!!! Then I was asked to come back the following day to view the photos. That was a 2 hour wait. Once upstairs your asked to pick the best 7 shots, at this point all the pictures seemed so great, and I could not pick which ones, the room was the size of a broom closet and hotter than all #*##!!! Once there, we were rushed into making our decision which didn't really matter some girl picked what she thought was best. Never really listening to my comments.

After that I was shuffled to the directors office where his pics were put on a flat screen (very impressive) and we discussed what companies we could market him too. Well after that it was I have to become a member, a marketing team would represent him, and that was gonna cost $500 for 6 month or up to $1800 for 3 years. She also offered some sort of deal they were runnig and said that I could do a payment plan. That's when I paid my $45 for my disk of photos and I was out!!!

WATCH OUT!! You should never have to pay!!!!!
