Every year I get an escrow shortage notice. I understand that this can happen. However, every year I pay the escrow shortage in full (instead of paying it broken down into monthly payments added to your existing mortgage payment) and I still get an increased monthly payment.

Unlike many others unable to pay their mortgage, I pay it early every year and additionally overpay an extra $100.

Somehow my monthly payment goes up every year, even with the escrow shortage paid in full.

After calling customer service and going in circles for 30 minutes they finally told me to call next year if this happens again. I clarified that it just did happen again and that's why I was calling today. They told me that instead of paying the overage I should have said no and called. Instead of being good and paying on time I'm supposed to be like all the others that don't make payments and say that my mortgage is wrong? When have you ever heard of a company saying they mess up every year and to ignore it?

Last year I paid a few hundred dollars to cover their crap escrow mess-up shortage. This year it was only $190. The agent said that it was a mistake and I'd get a check back. That check would be for $80. That still does not explain why I get shortage analysis at the end of each year, instead of the beginning of each year. It also does not explain why they say it was their fault and I'll get a check back, but yet the check is $110 short of what I paid if indeed it was a mistake.
