I was an attempted victim of a high-pressure telemarketer who tried to scam me into agreeing to give him my bank account and routing numbers, mother's maiden name, Driver's license and issuing state, Social Security number, and more. Needless to say, I didn't give it to him. Instead, I not only used fake information, but I actually put him on hold while I "grabbed my checkbook" (in reality, I was grabbing my tape recorder).

When I came back, I tried to keep him on the phone as long as possible by goofing up the numbers and constantly getting them wrong. This not only frustrated him, but it kept him from scamming someone else while he was wasting time with me!

The scam is this: if you agree to allow a one-time $300 debit from your checking account, they promise you a "credit card" that can be used (in their words) "at a gas station, restaurant, shop stop, or anywhere a normal credit card can be used." The catch is that they not only record your conversation (which makes my recording completely legal!), but they will only send you a "finance card" that can only be used on overpriced crap from their very thin catalog of worthless junk.

Although I am holding on to the tape recording for now, I just sent a transcript of the entire tape-recorded conversation to the FBI, the Florida Attorney General (along with the complaint form and I filed a complaint with the FTC at:

https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01

They also tried to "slam" my phone service. Slamming is slang for switching your phone service without your permission.

These guys have it coming, and will get busted eventually. if I can help that along, then so be it...

This guy is involved with so many scams that I just have to list them all for you. and if you have been scammed by them please contact the Pinellas County office of Consumer Affairs at http://www.pinellascounty.org/consumer/default.htm, also the local Clearwater F.B.I. office, the Fl Dept. of Agriculture and the Fl Attormey General.

To name them, they are: firstInet ( www.firstinetonlinecard.com ), first usa financial ( www.firstusafinancial.com) , myifservices ( www.myifservices.com) aka infinite financial also integrity financial (not the one on Duncan Ave.

although they are the ones Adam Shorr used to sell or promote his "card" to the public, neverpayretailagainonline ( www.neverpayretailagainonline.com ), your discount health www.yourdiscounthealth.net or com )and equinet.

He also co-owned a call center for Long Distance Unlimited DBA Ez1rate.com ( www.ez1rate.com ) out of which he had his employees taking customer service calls for New Platinum Line ( newplatinumline.com ) , Galaxy, Gadgets n Gizmos ( www.galaxygadgetsngizmos.com ), Galaxy, Gadgets and Gizmos ( www.galaxygadgetsandgizmos.com ) , Tryvectin ( www.tryvectin.com ) and YourHealthNetOnline ( www.yourhealthnetonline.com ).

He now owns University Loan Services/Solutions at 601 Cleveland St also in Clearwater, FL which I heard got closed for one day or a few days by the authorities who are investigating him.
If you have been scammed by any of these companies his new toll free number is 1-800-974-7536.

Their website is http://www.universityloanservices.com/. They may say they have nothing to do with those other companies but they are just giving you the run around. It's best to just call all those agencies I listed. This will also help in their investigations of him and others and bring them to justice.

That's the long distance service they get you to switch to. If you want your money back from this company contact the Fl Dept. of Agriculture, the Clearwater local F.B.I. office, the Fl Dept. of Law Enforcement and the Pinellas County office of Consumer Affairs. Also file a complaint with the Fl Attorney General. The BBB can't help you! Adam Shorr now owns University Loan Services/Solutions also.
