My truck was stolen on Oct 17, 2011, I reported my claim to infinity insurance the following day. I gave my recorded statement, affidavit, keys to truck along with any other paperwork I had by mail and email as requested. I continued to receive duplicate paperwork to send back and I have been the one to contact them at all times inquiring on the status. I seem to get the run around and don't have one adjuster assigned to my case. It has been approx 45 days since I filed my claim, the car rental that I have is now coming out of my own pocket...I just handed $500 over to the car rental company. They don't seem to care about their customers and what losses we face as a result of their poor communication and company statement regarding a loss. I not only lost my $27k truck, but now I am shelling out more money for a rental and the insurance payment for a vehicle that I signed off on.

No truck, delay claim...now, no car rental

So I have reported infinity to this website, better business bureau and the state commissioner of insurance. Now, since I can no longer afford it, I have turned in my rental and am now with out a car. I am beyond pissed at this point. Someone told me that I need to contact the Bureau of insurance but I am not sure if that is the same as the state commissioner of insurance. Any other info would be greatly appreciated, cause I am not sure what else to do at this point.

Here's a link to the California Insurance commissioner's site:

It gives information on how to proceed with your complaint.

Best of luck to you...let us know how things work out for you.

Thank you, I appreciate your words. I hope a new day brings me some resolution...it just really sucks and it's not right. Thank you for providing some kind of direction as to who I should contact regarding my lagging insurance company, I will be sure to call the states insurance commission board first thing. Again, thank you...I am sure I will have something about my daily experience with Infinity tomorrow.

I know I mentioned if before,  but perhaps it's time to see if your state's insurance commissioner can jack them up a bit.

Good luck to you..what a hassle/expense for you.

delay delay delay

they haven't denied my claim, supposedly they are still investigating the loss. I was told that I needed to provide an in-person recorded statement still, but yet no one has called me to set up a time. I call them at least every other day and I hear the same answer..."I have a call into him, so I will let you know when I do". The company policy states within 30days my claim should be resolved, but yet 45 or so days later I still cannot get an answer out of them and I am still paying insurance for the truck after I signed the release and sent them the keys. I have never had a stolen car claim or anything but it seems like I just continue to lose money due to this claim and for what reason??

What is the reason the company has given you for non-payment?

If they are truly violating the terms of their policy, contact your state's insurance commissioner as soon as possible.

You did NOT say what they must have told you regarding this delay or denial.
