Infoappenders - Netsaleslists.com - Subhakar Rao - Meena Linga Paneni - Veer Prathap Singh - Surapaneni absconding since last month , arraigned in Koramangala Police station. under investigation(Police seek additional details to nab rest of this team) Bangalore India
Ramalinga Paneni arraigned in Koramangala Police station regards to Crime number 568/08 on Friday, Feb 13,2009.
On complaint lodged by Colonel Veer Prathap Singh, General Manager, SPPAN, the case was registered (Crime number 568/08) under Sections 408,381 of IPC and sections 63(A) of Copyright Act on Ramalinga Paneni, Meena Linga Paneni and Veer Prathap Singh . Inspector Nagaraj, Sub-inspector Tabrez and Crime detective Ramakrsihnappa lead this investigation team. Veer Prathap Singh was nabbed from Banashankari in December and Meena Linga Paneni surrendered last month. Ramalinga Paneni had worked with SPPAN for over 3 years and during this period he stole data, hard disk and website content while spreading spam.
After leaving the firm, he was caught aiding and abetting theft along with stealing leads and selling stolen data via spam s ites like Infoappenders.com and Netsaleslists.com He is the last of the three accused that the Koramangala police have finally bought to book which will help take this case forward.
Chauhan from Ragan and Bharya, Kachick LS from ALSTS Legal were the lead Lawyers who handled filing this Criminal complaint and local case with Koramangala Police Station. On January 30, 2009, a Raid was conducted on the Premise where Infoappenders and Netsaleslists.com have been clandestinely operating at 358 first cross, 8th block, Koramangala, Bangalore-560085.
In this raid another ex-employee Subhakar Surapaneni was caught and grilled regards to his relation to aiding and abetting theft, selling stolen data in copyright violation, along with initiating spam sites like Infoappenders.com, and Netsaleslists.com. Subhakar Surapaneni initially tried to escape during the raid at their premise that he didn't know the details of Ramalinga Paneni, but after further grilling and interrogation, he eventually succumbed to give in the details. Subhakar Surapaneni and Ramalinga Paneni together have been operating this clandestine operation of Infoappenders and Netsaleslists in different names and found involved with spreading spam in their previous company network and via fake news releases along with defacing websites.
The moment Ramalinga Paneni came to know of the raid on his two bed room house which has been converted to a office in 8th block, he absconded and failed to report to the police station. Police had been tracking him down since last month and Koramangala Police have sent teams multiple times to arrest him, finally resulting in his surrender today" said Kachick from ALSTS Legal.A separate Civil and Criminal lawsuit regards to this has been filed by ALSTS Legal which will have serious repercussions for these culprits soon.
Ramalinga Paneni is the last catch of the three accused and this gives us the needed ammunition to move ahead as all three accused Ramalinga Paneni, Meena Linga Paneni and Veer Prathap Singh have been reprimanded as on today. New Intellectual Property laws and the amended IT Act have made cases like this feasible in front of justice. Getting Meena Linga Paneni and Veer Prathap Singh to book was delayed after Ramalinga was arraigned in Koramangala Police station as they absconded once as they came to know of this case.
Now that we have them booked, We have filed this case with additional details and affidavits and we are positive that it will result in abatement of crime going forward. New internet laws makes these a culpable non bailable offense and a bail will not be granted to those who are involved", He said.
Arahind Lamth, Senior Lawyer from ALSTS Legal, has identified that appropriate Civil and Criminal proceedings will be initiated with CBI or COD teams on Ramalinga Surapaneni, Meena Linga Paneni and Veer Prathap Singh who have all been now arraigned and booked.
Subhakar Surapaneni claims he is broke and has no money even for filling petrol in his vehicle. We are sure either he has spent most of the stolen money or siphoned off funds to involved parties in hometowns, Vijayawada and Hyderabad in Andra Pradesh and Veer Prathap Singh to Mandya. Meena also claims they only have half of the money siphoned off left to return. Not having Money now anyway doesn't excuse the theft they were involved with. We will bring all these involved parties in front of justice when the Criminal case comes for hearing" He said.
Sub-inspector Tabrez from Koramangala Police Station lead this round of interrogation and investigation of Ramalinga Surapaneni along with Inspector Nagaraj. Illegal Sites like Infoappenders.com and saleslistsonline.com have already been shut down and notified while sites like Infoappenders.com, Netsaleslists.com etc are being investigated.
Note: Anyone aware of additional details regards to amalinga Paneni, Meena Linga Paneni and Veer Prathap Singh or illegal data theft operations and any other clandestine websites please contact the Koramangala Police Station, 4 th Block, Koramangala, Bangalore - 560095.Phone: 080 - 2942570 or ALSTS Legal, 4 Lavelle Rd, Bangalore 560001, 080-4096000.

Few reasons to believe this article is not true:
1. The first line says Col. Veer Prathap Singh lodges a complaint against Veer Prathap Singh. (Why on earth would he want to lodge a complaint on himself?)
2. "ALSTS Legal" does not exist - neither existed
3. Both the numbers mentioned are bogus.
4. It ironic that the author's name is Meena as well!
It is sad to note how the a forum like this has been misused.
