In early October 2004, I recieved a phone call from InfoCom, USA verifying information about the company I work for. Since I am the one answering the phones, I just kept saying yes this is our company name, yes that address is correct, etc. Since the phones were busy (rare) I was trying to get them off the phone. I get a call back from "Daisy's" supervisor verifying the information I gave her. I said yes (shutting her up)and hung up the phone.

About a week later my boss says "why is your name on this invoice?" I offered to look into it and called to have this invoice revoked. I did some research and found this great site to give me the courage to stand up to this company. So with all of the information listed, I called InfoCom and spoke with "April" the receptionist. She had me on hold and then spoke with a woman named "Tammy." I explained to her that I know about their practices and the unsatisfactory record with the BBB and various reports with Atty General office of a number of states. She actually told me to calm down and that she would cancel the invoice. She also had the nerve to say that not everyone is happy and the BBB I was upset (not over-reacting) about the fact that this company takes advantage of the people answering the phones and makes it sound like they have been doing business for years.

I wanted to share my experience and also thank the previous respondents for giving me the courage to stand up for myself and my employer. If you have the information to back up your statements, you will be successful.

Thanks again!
