Complaint Review: Infomatika

Infomatika did the exact same thing to me. Called to "verify" information. I specifically asked if I was purchasing something and they said no. A week later, I get this directory, and a bill for $349.95. I tried several times to get the bill cleared up, letting them know that did not order a listing, and that I wasn't even authorized to make those kinds of purchases. After a month or two, they suddenly came up with a recording that has my voice repeatedly saying "okay" to a bunch of questions that I had NEVER been asked before. Thanks to this site, and the BBB, I was able to convince them that I was serious about not paying this bill. They finally agreed to dimiss the bill if I sent the directory back, which I did. Just this morning, I received another harassing phone call because of the report I filed with the BBB. Apparently, they don't like being reported as a rip off company. Too bad, if they didn't falsify recordings, send unordered directories and try to intimidate me into paying this phony bill, I would not have been forced to report them to the BBB. Once I explained to the "lady" on the phone that I was through talking to them, and I had nothing further to say, I was treated to some colorful language.

Love those folks at Infomatika...they certainly know how to treat people!
