On March 25th 2013 I contacted the Inland Power Group of Gary,In to get our OTR Tractor diagnosed because the engine was running rough intermittently. I have had repair work done at this and was pleased with their service in the past and this was a factor in my going to their facility again.

I talked to Dale in service about getting an appointment and I was told an appointment could be made for me on the following day at the Gary,In location to diagnose the truck. I sat an entire day for this to get repairs done..

On Tuesday,March 26th 2013, the tractor was pulled into the shop and I was given a list of thing that they found wrong with the vehicle and the two main thing I wanted repaired were the injector wiring harness and the flex pipe for the exhaust near the engine. two separate mechanics worked on the rig.

The first mechanic on day shift replaced the injector harness and I found out later that he cracked the valve cover when he reinstalled it. The second mechanic on 2nd shift installed the flex pipe and after the pyrometer gauge went out later I saw that the lead wire going to it were broken and it was tightened into the exhaust pipe behind the turbo.

On April 3,2013, I called Inland Power of Gary,In to discuss the issues I had especially since I didn't  have problems with their services performed earlier. I talked to Jeff in service and explained my problems with valve cover and was told they didn't have time to look at it and I would have to drop it off for two days for the look at the damage the mechanics done.

I was given a poor excuse that they would have to steam clean the engine and test it to be sure in was the valve cover. When I mentioned that we were under a load headed to Waterloo,Ia Jeff still insisted that I drop the truck off for two days. When I mentioned their Rockford,Il center.

Jeff still insisted on having the truck dropped off until I mentioned that he would have to pay for fuel costs for me to drive back Gary,In from Iowa, Jeff agreed that the Rockford,Il location was a better alternative. Which bring us to the Rockford,Il facility.....

I called the service dept at Inland Power Group, Rockford,Il on 4-3-3013 to get the damages listed previously looked at and schedule an appointment for 4-4-2013 between 3:30pm and 4:30pm and was given a difficult time about it.

I arrived at the Rockford,il location at 3:30pm and was greeted with disrespect at the door from the service manager Diana which was uncalled for. Their head foreman Derek took all of 5 min to verify that the mechanic at the Gary,In did damage the valve cover and I showed him the pyrometer sensor that I replaced that was broken as well.

April 5,2013 I called Dale the service manager at Inland Power Group,Gary,In and forwarded pictures of the damage and receipt the pyrometer sensor and explained the issues I had with Jeff and the management at Rockford,Il and that I wanted to get the work done at another location.

April 5,2013 at 0700 I also called the Diana, service manager at the Rockford,Il and voiced my displeasure at the treatment I received and to not order the replacement parts,I would have another of Inland Power Groups locations do the work, however I received a call from Dale after 9:00 am stating that the Rockford,Il location had already ordered the part.

Every step of the way I have been disrespected and no one had any regard for my time behind their mechanics mistakes or rather creation of new revenue opportunities for later. Do not do business with Inland Power Group period as they will try to rip you off.
