Hackers ran up fraud charges using my business name to total $29,200.00. Innovative Merchants held the money, knowing it was fraud.

After 1 month of knowing it was fraud, they transferred it into my account, 27,500.00. I had the money immediately sent back to them. Four days later, they emptied what was left in my bank account, $2500.00.

Two of the person's accounts whose money was frauded out, instead of Innovative Merchants paying them, Innovative Merchants directed them to take the money out of my bank account, even though they had the money.

There were thousands of attempt by hackers to rob peoples' bank accounts, but only 29,200.00 succeeded. The rest did not.

Well, Innovative Merchants attempted to charge me fees for all the 254,000 fraud transactions. I.M. attempted to take $101,000.00 out of my bank account. I was charged $19.00 insufficient fees by my bank.

I thank God my life savings and personal checking accounts were not linked to my businesss account.

This customer's website was not hacked into as stated. However, someone did attempt to utilize the account to obtain authorizations for credit cards. The person or people doing this did succeed in attempting hundreds of thousands of authorization attempts, each one costing the standard transaction/authorization fee. Each authorization has a cost to be processed through the Visa/MasterCard interchange. IMS has paid the fee for each of these transactions, regardless of the nature of those transactions. Because it is the merchant's responsibility to build safeguards on his website and monitor the activity on the processing account, he has liability associated with these transactions. Although he has not mentioned it, IMS is working with the customer to negotiate a resolution in this matter.
