InPhonic - MOBILEDIA Rebate Ripoff! Valid Time Frame Begins Tolling On Arbitrary Date Internet

Purchased Motorola Razr through Mobiledia.com with Cingular service. Inphonic handled two rebates equal to purchase price of phone: (1) $150, (2) $50. I sent in all information as directed. Also made copies of submissions and the envelopes (with postmark dates) in which they were sent.

Inphonic notified me of processing, apprx. a month after I sent submissions and just got 2 emails that submissions rejected because "postmarked after the valid time frame." Emails refer to the "after 180 days of activation and before 210 days activation" window. Totally false, I counted the days and had my secretary count the days, too, to make sure of time frame.

Clearly, InPhonic plans to arbitrarily refuse to honor rebates before a class action suit is filed. They know of the problems with how this time frame is determined but repeatedly make the same error, refusing to honor the rebate. Does it really think it can avoid investigation or a class action suit? I have submitted inquiries through the website. I have copies of all submissions. I have been diligent. Do not trust InPhonic or Mobiledia deals.

Notably, Mobiledia now requires users to register and submit to total control of webmaster before using their "public forum" after a customer complained about the rebate scam.
