I had purchased my phones (T-Mobile) from Intellinet Wireless and there were 4 rebates worth $800 (4 rebates of $200 each - Customer Appreciation and Loyalty Rebate) associated with it . I duly mailed my rebates to them but they were returned back to me stating that they were premarked.I got a mail from their customer service asking me to resubmit the rebate as given below :

Dear Srinivas:

Thank you for submitting your recent Mail-In Rebate Application. We
have reviewed your claim and discovered that it is invalid for the
following reason(s):

Your claim was not postmarked between 180 and 210 days of activation

If you would like to resubmit any information for consideration, please send any missing/corrected information no earlier than 180 days after your
activation date and no later than 210 days after your activation date to the following address:

Rebate Processing Center
Dept. 063242
PO Box 15800
Scottsdale, AZ
85267-5800

I did so accordingly and sent all my rebate via USPS priority mail ( USPS Shipment Info : 0304 1560 0000 4915 0626) so that I have proof of delivery confirmation .My postmark date was supposed to be between Nov 18 and Dec 18 2005 and my postmark date is Nov 26 2005 .

I have proof of email from USPS.

However the customer service entered the postmark date as Jan 2006 in their system and they are not willing to process my rebate .They say it is invalid.I was asked to fax the proof of rebate submission which I did on March 8 2006.But they are just buying time .They are rude and ask me to call back after 10 days and keep the phone down. They say that teh dept handling fax is different and they have no information on my faxx.I refaxed the proof on April 5 2006 but I dont think any action will be taken on theor end. They are basically cheating me of my $800 and have no intentions of returning back my hard earned money .

Please help me to get my $800 back.

Filed a complaint with FTC. YOu can do it online (It is easy and convinient)

Filed a complaint with attorney Generals office. In most cases it can be done online. For inphonic I could do it online.

Thanks.

UPDATE : Checks Received FINALLY !!! (RESOLUTION)

I finally received my 4 checks worth $800 after 1 year of purchase. Not to mention the tension and hasstle of sending and resending the documents with all copies and bills twice ,faxing the cust service 4 times , I wont even mention the number of times I called cust service .

Resolution :

Calling cust service is useless. How could they deny my claim when I am holding legitimate proof of delivery !!!!

I believe after I sent my complaint to Rebate Rip Off , it was intervention on behalf of Doreen Dennis which made it work .

Also if your case is really genuine and you are being ripped ,file a complaint with :

1.Federal Trade Commission
2.Attorney Generals Office of the state where your cellphone company is located ( and submit all the proof )

Thanks

Hello Srinivas,
Thank you for the e-mail. Your e-mail was forwarded over from Jennifer and I would like to help.

First I want to apologize for any incorrect information you might have received. I pulled up your account and submissions 6###9, 6###0,
6###0, 6###9 denied for submitting your rebates to early will be reprocessed as one time courtesy. I will submit a request immediately
to get these denial errors waived and get your rebates processed. Please allow 6-8 weeks to get your checks cut and delivered. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,

Hi Srinivas,

I can help with this one. Send me an email at customerinquiry(at)inphonic.com (Attn: Jennifer) with your order number and I can request the original paperwork from our rebate company. It usually takes me 5-10 days to receive it, but my office will then be able to verify the date stamp from the postoffice (and send you a copy for proof) or overturn the decision if it was made in error.

Please send me an email so I can help.

cheers,
Jennifer B.
