Bought my cell over a year ago, no $100 rebate. Told I qualified for payment about 4 months ago. Then, they switched rebate houses from AZ to MN. See http://www.wireflyrebates.com/rebatestatement.html. The phone number at the new house in MN (as of 9/7/06) is same as one used by Fry's Electronics, so may be a positive change. Maybe.

Latest promise is that the check is being printed, wait 2-3 weeks. Phone number to call is 866-607-9877 or go to www.cellphonerebates.com.

DC Attny General filed lawsuit on behalf of all consumers - over 2000 complaints so far. See http://occ.dc.gov/occ/cwp/view,a,11,q,636576,occNav_GID,1521.asp

Assistant Attorney General Wendy Weinberg's direct line is (((ROR REDACTED PHONE NUMBER FOR SECURITY PURPOSES))). Wendy is the AG who is handling the lawsuit against Inphonic. (Have not verified this...)

The lawsuit, filed in DC Superior Court, seeks a permanent injunction to stop the company's misleading practices. It also seeks restitution for consumers, civil penalties, costs and fees.
