I placed an order for Cingular and was told that if Cingular did not approve my order that I would be given a comparable product and service. I knew that I had an excellent credit score so there should be no problems.

After several days (not 24-48 hours as I was originally told) I was told that I was not approved by Cingular so they were switching me to Liberty Wireless. I was told that Cingular did not have enough information to complete my order or that they required a substantial deposit.

I called Cingular and this was not true. They said that my order was approved and they were just waiting for me to activate the account once the phones were received.

I was also not given nearly the same plan, service or phone through Liberty. When I went on the Better Business Bureau website, I looked up InPhonic and they own Liberty Wireless. They had no intention of selling me Cingular. This is an illegal Bait and Switch tatic. I have left messages for InPhonic and will report them whereever possible. They have NO idea how determined I am to make sure they are shut down. I read a lot of complaints that rebates were not honored so I canceled my order promptly.

Originally I wanted them to make good on the original committment to provide me with Cingular but I am convinced their will be bad billing practices and that I too will not receive the rebate.
