I purchased a treo 650 from InPhonic, Inc. an online seller at YouNeverCall.com. At the time of purchase there were two rebates offered, one for $50 and the other for $150. CPG, Inc. is the fulfillment company for these rebates.

The rebates required documentation showing 6 months of service before submission. The rebate offer stated that I should expect my rebate payment within 10-12 weeks of submission. I sent by certified mail my documentation on January 19,2006. On April 14, 2006 I recieved an e-mail acknowledging approval of the rebates and promising to mail the check within 3 weeks and an e-mail the day they would be mailed.

On May 12, 2006 I had not yet recieved my rebate, so I contacted CPG by e-mail, they replied with further aknowledgment of my rebates and claiming they were entered on 02/13/06 and 02/16/06 and stating that I should allow 10-12 weeks from those dates.

I replied:
"Great, 12 weeks from 2/16/06 is 5/11/06 therefore you are overdue on both counts by your own records, please overnight the checks to me immediately."

Today is May 23rd, 2006 and I still have not recieved my rebate checks. I called the number and the electronic system says that the rebates have been paid, though I have not recieved an e-mail stating they were sent.

I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint against CPG and after reading their explanation of how fulfillment companies always get complaints but blame the client (InPhonic in this case) for not funding them, I will now file another complaint against InPhonic.
