Complaint Review: INPHONICS

On 9/17/05 I bought 3 phones from Tiger Direct who has Inphonic running the rebate program. I waited 90 calender days(2/17/06) and an additional week and sent the rebates in . Two months later they send me a card saying I had submitted to early (LIE). I had to resubmit, wait another 2 months, 4 were accepted, 2 were not, due to no date on the wireless bill,(LIE) Why was the same wireless bill accepted for 4, but not for the last 2?. (stall tactic) In any event, I have yet to receive a check since 3/18/06 for the 4 approved rebates and NO answer as to what info they need different from the stuff already submitted for the remaining two.

Tiger Direct fluffs me off to Inphonic. In September it will be ONE YEAR from date of purchase and probably will arrive and go with no $600 in rebates. Tiger Direct pays Inphonic my $600. the longer they hold on to it, the more money Inphonic makes in interest. If people like me give up, they pocket the whole $600
DO NOT BUY FROM Tiger Direct!

I sent the above letter to the Editor of Ripoff.com on 7/18/06. Today 8/04/06 after 9 months of efforts on my part, to obtain my $600 in rebates, I HAVE RECEIVED MY CHECKS.

I have my $600. He interceeded in my behalf, and contacted INPHONICS directly himself. Ed did in 18 days, what I couldn't do in 9 months.
