I purchased a Motorola Razr V3 with a two year Cingular contract from Inphonics Inc. through the Cash Back Store online and my credit card was billed $140 by IPI Wireless with the promise that I would receive a rebate check for this amount.

As indicated on the rebate formI submitted all requested documents to their Phoenix Arizona address between 180-210 days. All Ts were crossed and all Is dotted.

About two months later when I did not receive my rebate I contacted Inphonics (dba IPI Wireless, Wirefly, Liberty, etc) at www.whereismyorder.com, only to discover that they had relocated their rebate processing center to White Bear Lake, MN and could not located my rebate submission.

I received no prior notification of this move, but Inphonics apologized for the inconvenience and said I could resubmit my rebate so long as I was still within the 30 days timeframe.

Obviously, such window of opportunity had closed and since the rebate form clearly indicates that checks will not be issued until 10-12 weeks after receipt of rebate request, it would be unlikely that anyone inquiring about their missing check would contact them within this eligible period.

I have written and called a thousand times rationalizing with Inphonics that their relocation should not prevent me from receiving my rebate. Any reputable company would see it this way. However, after seeing almost 500 Rip Off reports for the Inphonics name alone, I am certain that this was all one big rebate scam.
