Complaint Review: Insight Visa Card

Insight Visa Card Sheila Scott Insight Visa card never alerted me when my card was being used. After I reported the theft to the purchasing store, the clerk finally issued me a new card, however, she did not close account, but issued me a new card on the same account. Why would you do that? Now, Visa will not give me my money back. Berkeley California

I had a housemate steal money from my Insight visa card, after she had permission to use card one time. I am disabled and could not get out to do some very much needed shopping. Yes, I gave her permission to use my card one time. When I dicovered she took money, I reported it. After the third time going to the purchasing store, the clerk finally issued me a new card. I never activated this new card, and Sheila Scott somehow got into that account and did card to card transactions. Now how she got my new card number is still a mystery. She stole my first card and was able to steal all my money on the new card that was issued to me. Now, why would you issue me a new card on the same account? Now Insight is saying I gave her my information, so I am at fault. This simply is not true. I have not been around her since she stole all my money. Plus, I signed up to receive alerts and never received a single one. I take responsibility for the first transaction, but Visa should have protected the rest of my money after reporting the theft. Plus this card charges too much for a transaction, and customer service representatives are rude.
