I purchased a brand new Porsche Cayenne Twin Turbo, a vehicle with a list price of almost $100,000. Since the very beginning of ownership, the vehicle exhibited poor braking performance, and a high rate of oil consumption, average 1 quart every 300-350 miles. I have sent faxes, letters, a certified letter, but the dealership just checks out the problem, reports there is no problem, and gives me back my car. I have been driving loaner cars for 270 days of the 780 that I have owned by car.

The dealership explains their position with a never-ending stance of denials, claiming nothing is wrong, they can't find the problem, etc.

I have a $100,000 brand new car, and I resort to driving around with a case of oil in my car. Imaging that folks.

Porsche has taken the position that "nothing has been confirmed to be wrong", and almost in disbelief of my claims, "why didn't you call us before". So now it is my fault, that I didn't call them before, and instead communicated with their authorized representative, inskip porsche.

I have spoken with a TV new producer from a Boston investigative consumer reports segment of the local newscast, and they are actually working on a piece about Boston owners buying cars from NH and RI dealers, where lemon law protections are diminished. If anyone else has similar experiences with Inskip or other RI new car dealers, please contact me and I can put you in contact with the producer.

Inskip Porsche Steals Loaner Car from Customers

#3Author of original report

Sun, February 18, 2007

Here's an update that everyone should love:

On October 10 I sent a certified letter to inskip porsche asking for them to fix my car, which burns 3 times more oil than Porsche says is ok, has headlights that pop out of the socket when you brake hard, spongy brakes, and a keyless entry that doesn't work.

Well, after 4 months of trying to fix it, they gave up, and since I didn't want my car back until they fixed it, they sent two punks to wait for me at work and literally stole my loaner car out of the parking lot without notifying me, or my attorney.

The culprits:

David Bordeloeu, a typical service writer that knows nothing about cars and belittles clients who have owned, raced, and generally know more about autmomobiles he does.

General Manager Bill Gibb. Don't know him, but he is generally ineffective, and hasn't done one single thing to try and resolve the situation.

Ralph Burdick. My salesman, is a very nice guy, but hasn't done one thing to try and help the situation.

Take that thing out and RUN it! You might get a few dozen tickets, but you could also seat your rings and solve your oil consumption problem. Then switch to AMSOIL or Mobil-1.

The brakes I don't know about. I once drove a friend's Porsche and I never bothered with using the brakes on that car. I just kept the power on through the turns and we went like hell. He did get very nervous..... A month later he flipped the car with his super-cautious driving and wiped it out. Some people aren't ment to drive a Porsche.
