Complaint Review: Installers Plus

I contracted Installers Plus to replace old cedar planks with new Hardi-Plank, which is a cement based cedar plank replacement product that is widely regarded as the best material you can use.

Well... about a year later, planks started falling off the side of my house.

My wife and I called them and left messages repeatedly. No one ever answered their phone, nor returned any calls.

The planks were installed with screws placed about 1/8" from the top edge of the plank. There is not enough material above the screws to support the weight of the plank, and they started to fall off. Either that, or the screws were spaced too far apart.

I even tried to drive to their address. There is no Installers Plus at 6291 Johnson Rd.

I did a search for properties owned by Robert Grimsley (owner of Installers Plus), and found that he also owns property at 2731 Kunz Rd, which is where I believe he currently operates his "business."

I ultimately had to pay someone else to fix his mistake.

If the guy would have just called me back and said "sorry for your luck" I may not have filed this report. But if you don't have the decency to return calls, you don't deserve the benefit of any doubt.
