Complaint Review: Instant Checkmate

Instant Checkmate Spams with fake news story by "News 10" in Denver, and there's no such station Internet

I received a spam from Instant Checkmate today, in the form of a fake news report from "News 10 Now" in Denver. There is no channel 10 in Denver. It pretended to report that crime is up in Denver (it's down--especially homicides, which they mention.) The "News" story was littered with references to InstantCheckMate.com.

You can see the "story" here.

The "news story" references a "Matt Fludgate" who's supposedly a teacher at "Central High School" in Denver, and some sort of molester. A Google search finds no corroborating information, providing more proof that the news story by "Michael Jacobs - News 10" is a complete fraud.

Instant Checkmate tries to leverage this fake story to make you believe you need their service to do background checks on people. The funniest part of their fraud (other than it being obvious that there's no "News 10" in Denver) is that there is a "Comments" section on the "story," which undoubted has completely bogus testimonials, but "Comments have been closed due to spam. Please check back later. RS." So, of course, you cannot post any rebuttal on their fake site.

I wouldn't doubt they do horrible things with your information if you're dumb enough to give them any.
