i received a phone call from instant tax service in dec 2011 they told me that i was approved for a chirstmas loan up to 1000. to bring my check stub. i went into the office on west blvd i asked them many times even read the application if it was an loan they said that the 50 dollars was a gift, as the were looking at my check stub they showed me how much i could get back I told them I would let them know if I was going to file.

the next i know they have filed my taxes without my consent which made me very upset, also they did not report all my income on top of that. then they gave me a date to receive my money back no later than jan 19. i never even still have no paper work from them except the copies i had them to give me. i told them i was going to sue them. i went back to them many times they  could not find my file. at on point then asking them what happened to the rest of my money they gave me feb 21.  they kept giving me the run around. due to have bills my 4 children and i became  homeless. still is as i type up this report it has been very hard for us in all areas of life for us.

According to the Charlotte Observer, a judge in Wake County has issued a temporary restraining order to shut down the Instant Tax Service offices on Freedom Drive, Boulevard Suite, and Franklin Blvd in Gastonia.  The restraining order is a result of the false advertising, extremely high fees, and the filing of tax returns without the customer's permission.  North Carolina's Attorney General is seeking a permanent ban on Instant Tax Service, but this will not happen if people do not stand up for themselves.  Please contact the state's Attorney General office and let them know what is happened to you & if you know someone else who has been a victim of Instant Tax Service, encourage them to contact the Attorney General as well.  It is time that we stop this company from taking advantage of hard working people!!!
