Complaint Review: Insurance Broking Finance Ltd

I responded to an intriguing lead for a job listed below.

The company seemed legit and I did extensive homework to see if the company actually existed since the company was contacting me from overseas. I looked up the contact information and overlooked the company website alot.

Everything was going well with the recruitment process, and even got the phone call screening interview. They said they would contact me within 1-2 business depending on the assessment of my screening.

Keep in mind, at this point that I have already recieved a very professional-looking job description with expected pay and overview of company goals.

Here was my reply to the HR Manager:

After reading some more about the what makes up your company, I am  definitely interested and would like you to send me an application as soon as possible! The possibility of an international career is right up my alley.

I read the compensation plan and its looks pretty good. $1525/weekly not including commissions is not bad at all. I also
would like to know about the shifts options and more elaboration on flexible work hours.

Does the company have a 401k plan or employee stock purchase plan?

Are employees paid by Direct Deposit or by checks in the mail?

My 1st inclination was that they didn't respond to my specific questions at all. I let that slide and assumed they would answer later on in the recruitment process. I mean, after all, the compensation plan was so good.. see below what I was offered in an email:

725 per week is your !!!GUARANTEED!!! BASIC salary. The guaranteed salary is money that you will get no matter the circumstances. Plus you will receive 8% from each transaction you process.  It will lead to the AVERAGE pay of US$ 1,525 per week. I would like to confirm once again that this is a unique job offer  from our company and this position is limited. Please note that our employee turnover is less than 5% annually, which is just an excellent ratio! So do not waste your
time and join us today! With an excellent base guaranteed salary (you know you will always have a paycheck and paying your bills will  never be an  issue!), fantastic bonuses and commission structure in place it won't be long before you will be earning the dollars you are worth.

The latest email I recieved has indicated I have been chosen for the job. It also had additional information that was not given to me prior. The company never told me that it was going to be a 6 month agreement and that I would have to sign another agreement when that time was expired. then I started putting 2 and 2 together.

In prior email sent to me by the HR manager of the company, they said they on opening a US location in NY by August which is less than 6 months from now so why would I need to sign another agreement.

Then on top of that. They are asking for personal bank account information that normally would not be asked for until after you are employed at least for direct deposit information to receive a paycheck. Well, that was red flag enough for me. I went online for more extensive research to see if anyone has reported this company as a scam. I found 1 person who received the same exact emails that I did by the same company on Ripoff Report.com

What an elaborate hoax and I will not be contacting this company by email any further...Thanks Ripoff Report for helping me!
