Integrated Voice Services of Tampa Florida has been charging my company $7.30 for the last 8 months on my Verizon phone bill. On my bill it says Integrated Voice SVCS on page 3.  It is really hard to determine that this is a 3rd party billing on my Verizon bill.  I called the company's customer support number and was routed to India.  They offered to cancel my service as soon as I called (of course they would because they don't want me to cause a fuss).  I am causing a fuss.

I own a IT company and decided to ask some of my customers to check their telephone bills.  The very first customer I visited had unauthorized charges from  Integrated Voice Services of Tampa Florida.  I then asked the business next door to mine to check their bill and they too were being charged as well.  The next day I was shopping for furniture and got into a conversation with the owner and yes he had also been charged by the same company.  Based on my small sampling I can only imagine how many millions of dollars Integrated Voice Services and Verizon has stolen from honest unsuspecting customers.

I believe this company and Verizon should pay huge penalties for scamming people through their telephone bill.  Usually when someone discovers they are being charged for unauthorized services they just complain and have the service canceled.  It is your right to have all unauthorized charges refunded to you.  Integrated Voice Services will try and tell you that they have a voice recording of someone in your office approving charges.  Usually after some telemarketer usually from India calls to confirm your information.  My advice is to hang up, call your phone company and put a cramming block on your phone bill.

I have contacted the Florida Attorney General's office and filed a complaint with the FTC.

People check your phone bill, there could be a thief lurking there.

Integrated Voice Services and Verizon

It took me about an hour this morning to track down Integrated Voice Services. Here is what I know.

1. Andrew Kornes Title: President, the company started in 2004.

2. Their address is in The Port Authority at

1101 Channelside Drive, Suite 250
TampaFlorida33602. However when I called the port authority I found out they have a virtual office.  It's pretty much just a mailbox and a forwarded phone number.  The real estate management company informed me that they are evicting the company out of their virtual office.

3.  I called the Business License office in Tampa and found out that Integrated Voice Services does not have a business license.

4.  I called the Florida State Corporation and found out that the company lost is incorporated status in 2007 for not filing returns.

I talked with a local TV station about this issue and they do seem interested.  I also emailed my local paper about doing a story.

After more than 8 calls to Verizon I finally got a call back from the Verizon fraud Dept.  I spoke with
Tonya Davis.  We had a good conversation about people being scammed through Verizon's billing system.  She said that Verizon will do an investigation but that I will not be contacted about the results.  So I guess I'll just trust them to do the right thing.  Not really.  I asked her to find out how a company that was dissolved in 2007 could be billing me in 2010 for services I did not authorize.  She told me that Verizon may or may not get back to me on that.  I ask her if Verizon has any type of verification system that checks these 3rd party billers to see if they are legitimate.
She could not explain the process and indicated that it was proprietary Verizon information.  She agreed that this issue of Scamming/Cramming people's phone bills was a big issue and Verizon has a database of complaints.  I asked if she thought if Verizon found out that Integrated Voice Services was scamming customers that Verizon should refund ALL CUSTOMERS that have been billed by this company.

SHE SAID YES!!  I agree.

There are I'm quite sure thousands and thousands of Verizon customers that are currently being scammed right now and they have no idea.  I told her that I was sure the Verizon billing dept could find out how many customers are being billed by Integrated Voice Services very easily.  I suggested that Verizon stop billing for this company until they complete their investigation.  I didn't get a positive response on that one.  It seems profits come before customers.  I'm sure Verizon is making quite a hefty profit by taking a piece of the action from scamming their customers.
