We have two charges on two of our local phone bills for operated-assisted calls made from pay phones to two of our buildings on Jan 5 and Jan 6. It is not possible that the calls could have been accepted. Our buildings were closed due to ice storm and power outages both days. This happened last month also. I filed reports. When I called 1-800-736-7500 they said they would issue credits. They also put blocks on those numbers so this wouldn't happen again. The only explanation they could give was that it must have been a billing error...yeah right!

In Nov. 2004 we got a sprint phone bill with an integretal collect call made from a pay phone in Utah. We live in Nevada. The call was billed $7.98. We have our own separate long distance company which we've had for years and would never change. We also never accept collect calls. I recently got the bogus charge removed, (last month), but only after I said I was going to file a complaint with the PUC. Last year they even "slammed" us. They added services that we never ordered. Sprint is a nightmare! I now read every word on the phone bill. Next step is the Public Utilities Commission.
