I am A seventythree year old man with cancer and other health problems. I was stunned recently to recieve a forty dollar add on to my phone bill for a call to a 900 number.The company sending the bill was Integretel, billing for Atlantic Mgmt.

I called the 800 number for Integretel and was greeted by an agressive hard talking female customer service agent. I informed her that I did not make any call to a 900 number.

The woman informed me the call came from my number and that a small callup dialer had been installed to send the call from my computer.I told her I didn't authorize anyone to install any dialup in my computer and she informed she would have it disconnected, but I was still responsible for the bill.

Ater much argument she said since it was my first time she would reduce the bill 50% but I had to hurry and make up my mind. I told her o.k. and hung up, I then called Qwest customer service and told them not to pay any of the bill.

Until I stumbled across Ripoff Report I spent several sleepless nights and went through literal hell afraid someone would think I was calling a 900 number (incidently the charges are twenty dollars a minute) The damage to my health and well being from this incident makes me want rip someone's head off. These companies should face Federal charges for their actions.
