Upon opening my telephone bill today, I noticed an unusual charge that did not belong. The charge was at the very bottom of the bill, which is where most customers do not look. The charge showed a $15.74 charge from Integritel for a United Voice 1X Set Up charge.

I immediately contacted my telephone service, and they indicated to me that it was not put on by them, and I would need to contact Integritel directly. I was given a telephone number where I was screened and asked to be placed on hold for over 30 minutes. When I finally spoke to a real live person, she indicated to me that it was a service that I had signed up for on the internet. As I assured her that I do not "sign up" for services, especially ones I don't trust or know, she proceeded to state all of my personal information, including my name, address, telephone number, date of birth, even my mothers maiden name....I WAS SHOCKED!!! I felt very violated and uncomfortable. I immediately asked who I could speak to to get the charges resolved and the service cancelled and removed from my telephone bill. She told me she would do it, but would take up to 4 billing cycles to show the changes. I explained to her that this was constituted as fraud and would be reported to the authorities and my lawyer. She immediately hung up the telephone.

PLEASE be wary of this company. They cannot be trusted, especially if they have all of your personal information. From now on, I will have to make sure that there is no fraud associated with my name or personal info.
