On 10/10/06, a freshman in college arrived at my door to sell magazine subscriptions. He was raising money to go on educational dives for his major- marine biology. He had receipts and all the documentation to make it look very legitimate.

I looked through all the titles and ordered a 2 year subscription of Golf Digest for my husband. The subscription was $34, plus process & handling service charges of $14; for a grand total of $48. I paid by check and he explained that we should see our first copy in 120 days or less.

Shortly before the 120 days, we had 2 magazines arrive at the house from Maxim. When I contacted Integrity through their website, they informed me that the 120 days was not up and I had to wait. It wasn't until the second contact, that they said they had sent a correspondence to an old address that our magazine was no longer available through them.

The next correspondence was that they had substituted Maxim for Golf Digest at our request. We most certainly did not request that magazine. I replied back that we did not want or request it and asked for a refund. Their reply was that I needed to send a copy of the cancelled check from the original sale and my receipt. I did, then they needed the front and back of both documents as well. I sent that also.

That correspondence was in April 07. As of this date, we have still not seen a refund, heard nothing more, until today when I arrived home to find a copy of Esquire in our mailbox.

I'm angry; I want my money that they've sat on for almost a year refunded; and I want everyone to know not to use them. If you have suggestions how to stop this type of fraud... please let us know. I really thought I was helping a student, as well as, getting a nice gift for my husband.
