Complaint Review: Intelius.com

I am new to online people searches. Naively I went to alot of websites. Intelius was one of them. They somehow own or work with other websites, including Reunion.com.

I paid for what I thought was a couple of free searches, even after giving out personal info. to supposedly unrelated companies; such as clothing, ringtones, etc. Some of these companies wanted trial offers and/or subscriptions.

Intelius used my people search info. to add to their records. I know this because they did'nt have any detailed info. about the person until I kept giving more and more info. to help the search. I was charged for info. that I gave to them.

Later, I revisited Reunion.com. The first time I did'nt sign up or in. They seemingly had free people search. They had less info. then myself. The revisit reveiled the info. that I had given to Intelius. They tricked me into what I thought may be a $5.00 fee for this month.

I knew things were wrong so I contacted the c/c company. I was billed $60.00 for a yr. membership to Reunion.com. I tried resolving things with cust. serv. That was a joke but ended up proving their fraudulent behavior. Intelius responded to my email complaints (2) to Reunion.com.

Their remarks were directed bullishly and were stupid and unresolving.

They even told me not to respond. The icing on the cake was when I logged in @ Reunion.com to investigate my account (they gave me). They had me signed up for another year!
