Complaint Review: Intelius

One night I had several crank phone calls. I got online to do a one time search and put my credit card info down. I also got a phone number that was no longer in service and was not in the city i lived in. It was from a number that is local, not some 25 miles away in the same county. I checked my email to days after to see that a company called privacy matetrs will be charging my account unless I click onto a link. I did not click onto any link i simply sent an email back to them stating I do not authorize, nor did I give your company my credit card information. It took them a while to repsond and all they could say that I clicked on a banner, yeah right how did they get my information. If I already have a montioring service from citibank why would I need something like this. The charge was 14.95 and this sucked because I did not authorize or give them my info. So Intelius gave them my info, I called my credit card company and had to change my card, because I know that this is a fraud and it could go on and on. Intellius is a fraud and I advise everyone to not use any of thier services unless you wants them to give out your info to another company. You might ne the lucky one taht gets rippped-off with more than just the 14.95 as I did.
