I worked for many mystery shopping companies including IntelliShop for about 10 years already. But this time I really want to express myself. The IntelliShop employee, so-called scheduler "Kevin Bell" is out of control when it comes to paying for the jobs. I recently performed a shop as always 100% following all requirements but I was NOT PAID. The shop quidelines required to take the pictures of all phones' tags found in a phone store.

It was a small store located in Chinatown of NYC with only 9 phones on display with 2 paper tags. I took pictures of them. Then, I took pictures of all phones' screens that showed the phone prices on them - 4 phones. One phone was no working. Two phones were not set to show the prices on the screens. So 3 phones had no paper nor digital price tags available. What should I do? I asked the salesman a Chinese guy who told me the approximate prices of those 3 phones. I explained everything in the shop survey and submitted shop with a picture of the exterior, the pictures of a display and the pictures of all available (6) phone tags.

THIS SHOP WAS "EXCLUDED"(!) or "not taking all required photos", so-called scheduler Kevin Bell emailed me. It means that I won't be paid for a job I did. HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO TAKE PHOTOS OF THE TAGS THAT DID NOT EXIST?

This is not a first time I experienced such ignorant or restless treatment from this sensless creature called "Kevin Bell". So this time his behavior gave birth to this review. I will avoid in future working with this individual to save my valuable time. I hope they in IntelliShop will pay the schedulers like "Kevin Bell" more money, so he would NOT need to squeeze the shoppers for a buck or two. Shame on Kevin Bell and the company that he represents. They call themselves the best Mystery shopping company, by the way. No one else by they would say this because they treat their shoppers very badly!

Not only is this not a RipOff....

You do realize by posting what you did you likely violated your Independent Contractors agreement. Because you listed both the Mystery shopping company and the company you "shopped" in the image you attached.

If this company finds this out they may have grounds to take additional legal action against you for violating your Confidentially Agreement. At the very least don't expect to be allowed to work for them any longer.

But that notwithstanding, there is no RipOff here...you did not fulfill the requirements. One thing Mystery Shopping companies rely on is ATTENTION TO DETAIL. It isn't just being "good enough because...". It is making sure you document everything. You sent pictures of 6 of the 9 phones. What you SHOULD have done is send a picture of all 9 phones.

The fact that you noted that 3 phones didn't have a tag does not do a thing.  You should have shown that by also taking a picture of those 3 phones. What proof other than your "word" that those 3 phones didn't have a tag? If they just wanted your "word" then why did they require pictures in the first place?

So in answer to this question "HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO TAKE PHOTOS OF THE TAGS THAT DID NOT EXIST?"
- You take a picture of the phone showing no tag existed.

For Full disclosure. I do not work for them as an Employee or "Shopper", but I did work for companies like them in years past. One thing every company had in common was things like the Confidentially Agreement that stated you can't disclose in any form that the shopping company has specific clients. The other is that every single one requires a shopper to be very detail-oriented.

Good luck and hopefully you take this as a learning experience.
