InterFace never returned my money, even though I followed their cancellation policy and done everything they told me to do! Gaithersburg Maryland
I was approched by the InterFACE recruiting agent at Montgomery Mall. I gave my contact information and was contacted the same day. My eleven month old baby girl and I were scheduled for the interview on 03/20/2014.
We had the interview with a very nice lady Rosalyn Chesky. She spoke a lot and very fast and when it comes to the prices for the packages I told her that I do not have that money, not even close. After a lot of pushing from her side, at that moment I considered it as being very interested in my girl, I agreed to pay for the grate deal she gave me, $600 for 2 outfits and head shot. I asked her about the cancellation policy if I change my mind. She told me that I would have to cancel during three days and it will not be a problem. She also scheduled my daughter for the photoshoot on 03/21/2014.
After going back and forth with my decision, next day I decided to cancel the contract. Before I sent the letter, I called the company and cancceled the photoshoot and asked about what should be in that letter and where to send it. The good twenty minutes the agent I spoke with was trying to convince me not to cancel, I did not have a chance to speak. When I was done with my conversation, I wrote the letter including as much details as possible and sent it as certified mail to the two locations on 03/22/2014: Gaithersburg and New Jersey. I tracked the letters, Gaithersburg got its letter on Sunday (03/23/2014) and New Jersey on Monday(03/24/2014).
I waited for 28 days and called to check the status of my cancellation letter. For a week I was trying to contact them, I called everyday. My phone calls were dropped, I was put on hold for 30 and more minutes, and I had been told that there is nobody there to help me. Eventually, on the following week I was connected with the right person who was hendeling the cancellation. The agent told me that she would need to verify my address to where they will send the check and I would have to wait for two weeks to get my money.
I verified my address and waited for two weeks, did not recieve my money. I called back and was connected to the person hendeling cancellations again. The agent again told me that she needs to verify my address, since it was never verified, and let ten days for check to arrive. Nothing happened after ten days! I called back and was told to wait another week.............got nothing!!!!!
I am not sure what I can do to get my money back?! I made a huge mistake by signing this contract and trusting this people! Every time I am in the mall if I see people talking to the InterFACE agent I try to speak with them afterwords, I try to warn them!
