Simple and plan, I enrolled in the International Academy of Designe and Technology in the year of 2006 informing them that I was a previous convicted felone immediately during enrollment and was not told there would be a problem. Unfortunately, a year and a half later I was reincarcerated for ninety days and released. Upon my return, I was ask to fill out new enrollment papers not stating that I was on any sort of probation, or that I was being denied. I was asked for the first time whether I'd ever been convicted of a crime and I answered truthly. Upon doing so, I was told a week later that due to new school policies I couldn't be allowed to return because of my convictions that  I'd mentioned to them up front in 2006 at my original enrollment. I feel that if I was good enough to enroll in 2006 and have my finances accepted and contracts honored, whatever new policies that came about afterwards don't apply to my original contract. I'f I had to honor what was in black and white at the time, so does the school. They told me that they were an accreditted college as well. Once all the hell took place they even informed me that I could transfer to any of their other campuses, but not another school. This wasn't stipulated at the time. Now I'm thirty thousand dollars in debt, and going through straight hell. You can't present new policies and rules into a contract that has already been written up and still active. There are advertisements up on some of the buses and trains of lawyers that are going at several schools here in Chicago about this. I'f I run across them again, I will definitely post them, and I ask that anyone who reads this please do the same, or contact me directly at (((REDACTED))). A former student and childhood friend told me before I enrolled that they were being investigated and sued before I enrolled: I should have listened to her.
